RECITAL 2026: May 30 & 31
Hunter Dance Center is a Training Center for Contemporary Concert Dance that focuses on dance as a performing art. Each year of training builds towards a professionally produced Recital Weekend at MATCH: Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston where all of the classes perform in a series of back to back shows modeled on a professional dance festival. This is a cherished weekend for HDC students, and they love the experience. To give the dancers an experience modeled on the professional world and to accommodate the numbers of wonderfully supportive families of our dancers who want to buy tickets, dancers perform in multiple distinct shows, each of which are presented once on Saturday and once on Sunday. They are fully supervised by their teachers and HDC staff and director for the entirety of the performance.
Your dancer must be able to perform on BOTH days to be eligible for recital session.
It is a two day commitment.
Spring/Recital Session is a 10-week long session dedicated specifically to preparing for this wonderful weekend.
